Over Bear-ing: Mercer Cross Country Sweeps Own RunFit Sports Invitational

MACON, Ga. - Mercer Unversity's cross country teams swept both the men's and women's team championships at its own ninth annual Mercer RunFit Sports Invitational, run at the Georgia Industrial Children's Home course.

For the MU men, sophomore Chris Svidesskis took top honors with fellow sophomore teammate Andrew Weems placing second overall in the men's 8K event.

In the women's 5K race, sophomore Kacie Niemann won the overall crown, followed by freshman teammate Lena Hamvas.
