HOOVER, Ala. - The Mercer cross country teams will test their legs Saturday at the NCAA South Regional meet, being hosted by Samford University, at Veterans Park. The women's race steps off at 9:45 a.m., followed by the men at 10:45 a.m.

Mercer's teams have been preparing the past two weeks after both units established new school records for team averages in the women's 5K and men's 8K running at the Atlantic Sun Conference championships.  However, both teams will be put to the test at the NCAA meet, which is 6K for the women and 10K for the men.

Both teams placed seventh in their respective races at the A-Sun meet.
