Volleyball Seeks Revenge at UNC Asheville
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer volleyball team takes a five-match winning streak on the road this week, traveling to face UNC Asheville at the Justice Center on Tuesday night. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m.

MACON, Ga. - Mercer senior blocker Krista Hurley smashed 12 kills on just 14 swings as the Bears captured a 3-1 (25-16, 25-14, 16-25, 25-22) victory over FAMU in the University Center on Oct. 23.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
UNC Asheville is 12-10 (5-4 Big South) and are looking to snap a three-match losing skid as Mercer invades the Justice Center Tuesday night. The matchup marks the second between the teams this season. On Sept. 28, UNC Asheville captured a 3-0 victory in Macon.
Since their last meeting, UNC Asheville has gone 3-4 while Mercer has won five of seven matches.
The UNC Asheville attack is led by Cindi Miller, who ranks 29th in the country with 4.12 kills per set. As a team, the Bulldogs rank among the top 70 teams in the nation in digs per set (69th - 16.16).
UNC Asheville leads the all-time series with Mercer, 12-2.
MATCH NOTES
Noelle Rooke’s teams have had winning streaks of at least five matches during the month of October in 2010, 2009 and 2008.
Junior outside hitter Amiee Frutchey tallied her 1,000 career dig against FAMU on Saturday. Frutchey is only the sixth player in Mercer history to reach the 1,000 dig plateau.
Libero Charlotte Harris has racked up 458 digs in 88 sets, ranking the junior first among A-Sun players in digs per set (5.2). Harris’ digs per set average is 27th best in the nation.
