Women's Tennis Rolls Again!

MACON, Ga. – Mercer's women's tennis team rolled to its second-consecutive shutout in as many days, this time dropping Savannah State University, 7-0, at the Leroy Peddy Tennis Center. The Bears' (2-2 overall) dominance showed across the board as they lost just two games the entire afternoon.

After MU swept the doubles competition – all three matches by 8-0 scores - to earn the first team point of the day, the Bears won the Nos. 2-6 singles matches by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores. Playing those matches, respectively, was Amalia Bugge, Lucie Payrat, Aurelie de Montjou, Amanda Bertoni and Sarah Hanna.

SSU's only match which wasn't a blanking was at No. 1 singles, where Mercer's Jennifer Lada was victorious, 6-0, 6-2 over Savannah's Sandra Diskristjansdottir.
