Summer Camps Continue For Serafy

Mercer women's soccer head coach Grant Serafy is using the excitement of the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup to help promote and teach the international sport in the middle Georgia area this week as he continues his 2011 summer soccer camps.

Serafy often utilizes the international aspect of the game to create competition between players in his camps, and this week begins hisMercer University Girls Soccer Individual Camp which provides advanced training to players ages 13-18. The mission of the camp is to familiarize players with the collegiate soccer atmosphere in an intense four days of work beginning on July 15.

"We are excited for our fifth year of hosting the Mercer University Girls Soccer Individual Camp," Serafy said. "With the success of our program, we continue to attract players from all over the country."

This year Serafy welcomes in players from across the U.S. including, California, New York, Texas and the southeast region.

"It has turned into a very competitive camp and we are proud of the level of training we provide," Serafy said. "Many of our current players staff the camp and they always do a tremendous job."

The camp will be held on the campus of Mercer University and each camper will receive t-shirts, soccer balls and meals in addition to the expert training and coaching.
