Wiriath Collects Academic All-Conference Honors
MACON, Ga. – Mercer junior Aurelie Wiriath earned a unanimous selection to the Atlantic Sun Women's Golf Academic All-Conference team, announced by the league office on Thursday. Wiriath joined five other players on the list, made up of elite A-Sun competitors with cumulative grade point averages of 3.30 or better.
Wiriath sports a 3.81 GPA in biology, and earned her all-academic distinction after booking four top-20 finishes this year. Of those placements, two were top-five showings, earned at the Eat a Peach Collegiate and the Courtyard Classic.
In the final round of the Courtyard Classic, Wiriath fired a career-best 69 in the final round to earn a second place finish.
All told, Wiriath shot 75 or better on 11 occasions and finished the season with a 76.8 scoring average. Three of those sub-75 rounds came at the Atlantic Sun Championship, where her tournament total of 224 placed her 13th overall.
