Women's Golf Slips to 8th on Final Day of the MSU Intercollegiate
OCALA, Fla. - Mercer senior Monica Kelsey posted a six-over, 78 to lead the Bears on the final day of the MSU Intercollegiate. As a team, the Bears recorded a 330 on Sunday and finished the event in 12th place.
After entering Sunday in sixth place, Mercer's third round 330 brought the team's three-day total to 952, eight strokes behind South Alabama for seventh place. Daytona State College captured the event title, finishing the tournament with a team total of 886.
Freshman Kaitlin Marrin garnered the best individual finish for the Bears, firing a 79 on Sunday to finish tied for 12th place individually. Kelsey tied for 22nd place with a final score of 234. Alicia Poole, Kimmy Graff and Kayli Wicker fired 86, 87, 88, respectively, on the Sunday to round out Mercer's scorers.
Mercer returns to action at the Atlantic Sun Championship on April 11.
