This season marks the second for Kenetta Kelly as Mercer’s Director of Basketball Operations.  With the Bears, Kelly handles day-to-day operations and travel planning while also serving as the team’s video coordinator.

Prior to Mercer, Kelly worked with the NBA League Office, where she served in various capacities for two years.  While with the NBA League Office, Kelly most recently worked as the WNBA Basketball Operations Department Assistant, reporting to the WNBA Chief of Basketball Operations and Player Personnel.

Before her work at the NBA League Office, Kelly worked as an assistant coach for the Long Island Wave/Panthers AAU team while also completing internships with the NBA and the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA.  During her collegiate years, Kelly also spent time as a Market Research Analyst Intern at Full Circle Sports in Stamford, Conn.

Kelly graduated from Post University in Waterbury, Conn. in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

After suffering an ACL tear in high school, Kelly attended North Carolina A&T before transferring to Cecil Community College in Northeast, Md.  While at Cecil, Kelly averaged 12 points and nine assists per game and helped the team to a 24-4 record.

After leading Cecil to the Maryland JUCO State Championship runner-up finish, Kelly transferred to Post University.  Kelly suffered another ACL tear and only saw action in 15 games while at Post.
