Women’s Basketball Welcomes Lipscomb Thursday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's basketball team returns to the University Center on Thursday for the first time in over two weeks, hosting Lipscomb in a 5 p.m. matchup.

Thursday's game will be broadcast on WIBB 97.9 FM with play-by-play provided by the "Voice of the Bears", Rick Cameron. The game can also be viewed with live video streaming on A-Sun TV.
SCOUTING THE LADY BISON
Lipscomb holds a 5-22 (3-13 A-Sun) record and is currently on a five-game winless streak. The Lady Bison haven't recorded a victory since topping North Florida 73-64 in Nashville on January 28.
Senior Anna Bowers powers the Lipscomb offense with a team-leading 12.4 points per game average. That figure bumps to 13.2 points per game in conference play. Her scoring average ranks 10th among conference players. Two other Lipscomb players rank among the conference leaders in scoring, as Hannah Phillips checks in at 13th (11.2) and Morgan Faulkner ranks 28th (8.4).
Lipscomb holds an 11-7 edge in the all-time series. Mercer has dropped three-straight to the Nashville-based opponent and hasn't defeated Lipscomb since taking a 76-70 victory on February 27, 2010.
GAME NOTES
Mercer sophomore Briana Williams has led the team in scoring in four of the last six games. Over that stretch, she is averaging 27.3 points per game. She enters Thursday's game 12 points short of 1,000 for her career.
Mercer has held a halftime lead in two of its last four games, but only earned a victory in one of those games. Overall the Bears are 3-5 when leading at the half this season.
