GAME NOTES
When Mercer hosts Charleston Southern on Dec. 20, it will mark the first time the team has seen the court since Dec. 7 at Georgia. Mercer’s 12-day hiatus is the longest break since the team had 12 days between contests in the 2007-08 season.
Despite being more than six weeks into the season, Mercer’s game versus Charleston Southern is just the second home game for the team this season. The Bears have not taken the University Center floor since hosting Furman on Nov. 19.
On Monday night, freshman guard Briana Williams aims to extend her double-digit scoring streak to nine games. Williams has scored 10 or more points in all eight of Mercer’s games this season.
