Bears Pull for the House

MACON, Ga. – On November 20, the Mercer Bears Softball team squared off in two teams of 15 to participate in the 3^rd Annual Ronald McDonald House “Pull for the House Event” in downtown Macon.

The two teams competed to see how fast they could pull a semi-truck that weighed over 80,000 lbs forty feet. To participate in this event the Bears raised money that was donated directly to the Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia. The Ronald McDonald House helps support families of seriously ill or critically injured children in local hospitals by providing them with a home away from home.

The Bears also donated their time this fall by volunteering at the house on Saturdays where they helped complete chores throughout the house.
