Bears Head to Georgia For Fall Season Finale

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer University softball team will wrap up their 2010 fall schedule this weekend with a quick trip to in-state rival Georgia on Saturday.

The Bears have had a solid exhibition season, going 6-1 against teams from across the state and will play an extended 12-inning game against UGA as the capstone of their fall workouts. The game is schedule for 1 p.m. at the Georgia Softball Complex.

Head Coach Mike Raynor said he is pleased with the practice and play of his team this fall and expects this time to pay healthy dividends come spring.
