Warren Woolfolk assumed the head coach role for Mercer University's men's and women's tennis teams in the spring of 2010. However, Woolfolk is certainly no stranger to the Bears' program or tennis in this region.

Woolfolk served as a volunteer assistant coach for the MU men's tennis team from 2006 through 2009. In addition to helping out with the Bears' NCAA Division I program, Woolfolk was an assistant at nearby NCAA Division III Wesleyan College from 2008-09.

Since 2007, he has also been an assistant teaching pro at Macon's Idle Hour Country Club.

Woolfolk also had an outstanding two-year career with Mercer (2004-06), playing both Nos. 1 and 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. As a senior in 2005-06, he went undefeated in A-Sun singles play with a 12-0 record and was a first team all-conference choice. In 2005, Woolfolk was the runner-up at the prestigious Southern Intercollegiate Championships held in Athens, Ga.

Prior to attending Mercer, Woolfolk spent two seasons (2002-04) at The Citadel. In 2003, Woolfolk was undefeated playing at the No. 6 singles slot, winning 14 consecutive matches. His efforts earned him the team's "Bulldog Award" as the most valuable player and also a second-team All-Southern Conference honor.

Woolfolk was also involved with the USTA 1,2,3 Tennis Program (2000-02) in Columbus, Ga., teaching clinics for children and adults. In 2001, he was a volunteer coach for Macon's "Mayor's Cup" tennis tournament. Woolfolk is USPTA certified and also has professional circuit experience.

Woolfolk is a 2007 graduate of Mercer University. He earned his bachelor's degree in English.
