Men’s Soccer Hosts Second Annual Media Day

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men’s soccer team hosted its second annual Mercer Men’s Soccer Media Day on its campus practice facility on Monday afternoon.

The Bears are coming off a very successful 2010 campaign after posting a 10-6-1 overall record, their first 10-win season since 2004, while hosting an A-Sun Championship game for the first time since 2005. The Bears also posted Top-60 national rankings in scoring offense (55th), shutout percentage (44th) and win-loss-tie percentage (48th) and were one of only 35 teams in the country with at least five road wins.

Multiple local media members attended the event including 13 WMAZ CBS Macon, The Macon Telegraph, Macon.com, 41 NBC Macon and WRWR-TV 38 Warner Robins Patriot.

Mercer hits the road next weekend when it travels to Charleston, S.C. to take on the College of Charleston in its final exhibition match of the preseason. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Patriots Point Athletics Complex.
