Lacrosse to Scrimmage Birmingham Southern on Saturday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer lacrosse will square off in a fall scrimmage versus Birmingham Southern on Saturday at 3 p.m. The scrimmage will take place on the athletics practice field.

The Bears opened fall drills two weeks ago and had an intersquad contest last Sunday. This will be MU’s first opportunity to square off against an actual opposing school in a scrimmage in preparation for its 2012 season opener next spring.

This is the second-ever season of competition for the Bears’ lacrosse program.  Head coach Jason Childs will field a 43-player roster, dominated by freshmen and sophomores.
