MU Men's Hoops Pairings Announced for Legends Classic

MACON, Ga. - Mercer University's men's basketball team found out its exact pairings for the Legends Classic tournament being held Nov. 14 and 26-28, 2010. 

The Bears play the University of Texas-El Paso on Nov. 14 in El Paso for a single game.  MU will then travel to the campus of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. for an additional three contests.

On Friday, Nov. 26, Mercer will face Western Carolina University, followed by a Saturday (Nov. 27) bout versus host William and Mary. The Bears will close the trip on Sunday (Nov. 28) by taking on Gardner-Webb University, which was formerly a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference and of which MU is still a member.

The 12-team event includes the four regional hosts - Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Michigan and UTEP - which will go on to meet in New Jersey on Nov. 26-27. Other sub-regional participants along with Mercer and its foes include: Bowling Green, Niagara, Albany and Detroit.
