Randall, Stiles and Barker Selected for Sunbelt Baseball League All-Star Game

MACON, Ga. – Three Mercer baseball players were selected for the Sunbelt Baseball League All-Star Game scheduled for July 16 at 7 p.m. at Oglethorpe University’s Hermance Stadium in Atlanta.

 

Junior David Randall and freshmen Hunter Stiles and Brandon Barker were three of 43 players from teams throughout the summer league selected to participate in the contest

 

Randall, who is playing for the OTC Bearcats, has appeared in four games this summer and has a 1-1 record, a 3.48 ERA and an impressive 15-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

 

Stiles, who is playing for the 6-4-3 Cougars, has appeared in 10 games this summer and is batting .192 with a double, four RBI and .313 on-base percentage.

 

Barker, who is also representing the 6-4-3 Cougars, is having a magical summer season after a solid freshman campaign with the Bears. The Woodstock, Ga. native has appeared in four games and has a 1-1 record, 24 strikeouts and is currently leading the league with a 0.95 ERA.
