Severe Weather Forces Suspension of Game Two of Series with KSU
MACON, Ga. – Saturday afternoon’s Atlantic Sun Conference game between the Mercer baseball team and Kennesaw State was suspended after severe weather moved into the Bibb County area.
With Mercer ahead 7-4 in the bottom of the eighth, torrential rain showers commenced coupled with hail the size of gumballs. The local tornado warning sirens also clicked on forcing play to be cancelled for the day.
Both teams will pick up play of Saturday’s suspended game on Sunday at noon at Claude Smith Field, followed by the third and final game of the series.
