Mercer Baseball Radio Schedule Changed

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer baseball team and Fox Sports Radio 1670 AM have announced changes to the broadcast schedule for select games in the month of May.

Mercer’s road contest at the University of Georgia on May 11, at 5 p.m. is still on the broadcast slate, but its home contest against in-state rival Georgia State on May 17 has been taken off the schedule. However, three more games have been added on to accommodate fans as the Bears make their Atlantic Sun Conference Championship run.

All three games of the Mercer and East Tennessee State series in the weekend of May 19-21 are now going to be broadcast live from Claude Smith Field to provide fans extra opportunities to follow the Mercer boys of summer in their final A-Sun Conference series of the 2011 season.

Calling the action as always for Mercer will be “The Voice of the Bears” Rick Cameron and former Atlanta Braves infielder Jeff Treadway.

After a week-long break for final exams, Mercer returns to the diamond on May 11 when it travels up to Athens for a mid-week affair with Georgia. Game time is at 5 p.m. at Foley Field.
