Baseball’s Mid-Week Game at Kennesaw State Cancelled

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Mercer baseball team was up 2-1 in the top of the fourth against Kennesaw State before severe weather in the area forced the game to be called on Monday evening at Stillwell Stadium.

After the third inning was completed, rain and severe weather rolled into the area forcing a delay. After an hour and 57 minute delay, constant lightning strikes in the area forced the contest to be cancelled.

Mercer is back in action this weekend when it travels to Rock Hill, S.C. to play Big South member Winthrop in a three-game series. Games one and two of the series are scheduled as part of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at 2 and 5:30 p.m. at The Winthrop Ballpark.
