Fan-Friendly Promotions Highlight Baseball's Opening Weekend
MACON, Ga. – The defending Atlantic Sun champion Mercer baseball team opens its 2011 season at Claude Smith Field in three days and the Mercer athletics department is proud to announce several family-oriented promotions that will highlight opening weekend and continue all season long.
On opening night, Friday, February 18, the first 100 fans who enter Claude Smith Field will receive a free 2011 Mercer baseball schedule poster. Friday nights are also Dollar Hot Dog and Family Fan Packs nights all season long. For a Family Fan Pack, you get four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks all for $25.
Saturdays have been deemed "Family Day" during which up to two kids (8th grade and below) get in free with the purchase of one ticket. Saturday is also Kids Take the Field Day that enables kids to take the field with Mercer players for the national anthem presentation.
On Sunday, two new season-long promotions will be introduced in "Catch with a Cub" and Worship Sundays. For Worship Sundays, any fan who brings their church bulletin to the game will receive free admission. Immediately following the game, parents can play catch with their kids in the outfield of historic Claude Smith Field.
