2010 (Sophomore): Developed into one of the premier lead-off hitters in the country in just his second season in the Orange and Black … Balanced his strong play on the field with stellar work in the classroom en route to a 2010 CoSIDA ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District III second team selection … Batted .381 last season and showed extra-base power with 15 doubles, four triples and two home runs … Ranked in the Top-100 nationally with 73 runs scored (25th), 30 stolen bases (34th), 15 hit by pitches (97th) and a .477 on-base percentage (98th)  … Set a new Mercer single-season record with his 73 runs scored and his 30 stolen bases tied the school single-season mark … Incredibly, put together three separate hitting streaks of at least 10 games last season … Started his 2010 campaign on a 14-game hitting streak, batting .500 during that span … Went 2-for-4 in a non-conference game against Savannah State (April 7) with two RBI, a career-high four runs scored and his first career collegiate home run … Set a new career-high with four hits in a 5-2 win at Kennesaw State (April 30) … Had seven hits, three RBI and three runs scored in the Bears march through the A-Sun Tournament, earning him a spot on the A-Sun All-Tournament team … Garnered a spot on the NCAA Atlanta Regional All-Tournament team after batting .500 (6-for-12) in Mercer’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

 

2009 (Freshman): Appeared in 44 games on the season, making 35 starts … Batted .294 with 35 hits, 14 runs scored and 13 RBI … Led the team with two triples, 11 steals and 10 sacrifice hits … Wore out right-handed pitching last season, hitting at a .317 clip … Led starting outfielders with 80 putouts … Had nine multi-hit games … Went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI in the Bears 9-2 victory against Bethune-Cookman (March 3) … Put together his best game of the season in a 16-5 win against Florida A&M (April 21), going 3-for-5 with three RBI, a run scored and a stolen base … Had a streak of four games with at least one steal (April 18-25) … Delivered two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Mercer’s A-Sun Championship first round match-up against Belmont (May 21).

High School: Earned letters in both baseball and football for the Walton High School Raiders ... Earned a spot on the All-Cobb County team as a sophomore and a junior … Named Cobb County Returner of the Year in football … Recognized as the Boys Scholar Athlete of the Year for Cobb County as a senior … Helped baseball team to a state championship as a junior in 2007 and a state runner-up finish in 2008 ... Was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 16th round (490th pick) of the 2008 MLB Draft.
