2009 Statistics

2009 (Junior): Appeared in 46 games for Mercer, making 45 starts … served primarily as a designated hitter for Coach Gibson but also logged three starts at second base and one start at third base last season … hit at a .335 clip last season and is one of five returning players who batted over .300 in the 2009 campaign … finished fourth on the team with a .514 slugging percentage and third on the squad with a .415 on-base percentage … showed a good eye at the plate with a 23-to-20 walk to strikeout ratio … ranked second on the team with 14 doubles and hit six home runs amongst his 60 hits … added 32 RBI and 28 runs scored … hit a blistering .350 (21-60) with two outs … went 3-for-5 with a double two RBI and a run scored in a Bears 10-9 win over Bryant (Feb. 28) … set a new career-high with four hits against USC Upstate (March 21) … put together a 12-game hitting streak from April 3 to April 18, batting at a .367 clip (18-49) during that span … clubbed his only mutli-homerun of the season to go along with three RBI and two runs scored against A-Sun Champion Jacksonville (May 10).

2008 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in 50 games for the Bears, starting 44 … Served as Mercer's primary second baseman, but earned five starts at third base in the final month of the season … Tied teammate Joe Winker for the team-high in doubles with 14 … Second on the team with 114 assists … Was a part of 28 double plays, the most of any returner in 2008 … Went a perfect 2-for-2 with a stolen base and two runs scored against Savannah State (2/27) … Chipped in the first of seven three-hit performances including a double and two runs scored against FGCU (3/22) … Legged out a double, drove in three and scored two runs as part of a 3-for-5 performance against Stetson (3/28) …Scored three runs and added a double and an RBI against Jacksonville (4/5) … Came away with a career-high four RBI on 3-for-4 hitting against Savannah State (4/16) … Recorded three hits in Mercer's A-Sun Championship finale against Campbell (5/22). 

2007 (Sophomore): Started in all five games he appeared … Posted a .312 batting average … Went 2-for-4 with one double and one run scored at Bethune-Cookman (2/10) … Tallied season-high four assists in three separate games ... Redshirted after breaking collar bone in second series of the season. 

2006 (Freshman): Finished fifth on the team in batting average (.309) and on-base percentage (.387) ... Collected his first-career hit at Mercer in a 3-for-4 showing with two RBI versus Florida A&M (2/4) ... Went 2-for-5 with a career-high three RBI and scored two runs against VMI (2/10) ... Was a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI at UAB (3/5) ... Picked up three hits in back-to-back games versus Rider, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs and one double in game one, and 3-for-5 with one run in the second game (3/14-3/15) ... Registered three hits in a career-high six at-bats and recorded two RBI at ETSU (4/15) ... Finished the season strong, going 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run scored versus Belmont (5/19).
