2009 Statistics

2009 (Junior): Appeared and started in 42 games … finished second on the team with a .358 batting average, good for 15th-best among all A-Sun players … finished second on the team in runs scored (39), hits (64) and total bases (100) … ranked third on the team with a .559 slugging percentage and fifth on the team with a .387 on-base percentage … showed some power at the plate by smashing seven home runs and 13 doubles on the year, good for fourth-best in each category … posted a .383 (18-47) average against left-handed pitching … hit .386 (17-44) with runners in scoring position … had 23 multi-hit games, including two four-hit games which ties a career-high … saved some of his best games for the premier teams on the schedule … went 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI against SEC power Ole Miss (Feb. 21) and went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored against ACC giant Georgia Tech (March 10) … had a huge series against USC Upstate (March 20-22) to begin A-Sun play, going 7-for-17 with a home run a triple and six RBI … put together a 12-game hitting streak from April 3 to April 18, batting at a .481 clip (25-52) during that span … set a new career-high with four runs scored against College of Charleston (April 8).

2008 (Sophomore): Saw action in 44 contests, making 16 starts with each start coming at second base … Started the final 12 games for the Bears … Posted a .980 fielding percentage, the best by any Mercer middle infielder with 35 appearances or more … Went 2-for-2 with an RBI coming off the bench against Campbell (3/1) … Went 2-for-4 with three RBI against Gardner-Webb (4/26) … Amassed a career-high four RBI with a grand slam against Belmont (5/15) … Compiled two RBI on 2-for-4 hitting with a triple against Stetson in the first game of the A-Sun Championship (3/21) … Named to the A-Sun All-Academic team.
