2009 Statistics

2009 (Sophomore): Started three games as a spot starter for last year’s squad … pitched six innings on the season and struck out six batters … held opponents to just a .266 batting average with two outs … posted first start of the season against in-state rival Georgia State (Feb. 25), giving up just two earned runs, striking out four batters and throwing a season-high 64 pitches … pitched a season-high three innings and allowed just two earned runs in next start against Bethune-Cookman (March 4).

2008 (Freshman): Utilized in short-relief situations in first year on the mound for Mercer … Made eight appearances coming out of the bullpen, never surpassing 2.0 innings of work … Did not earn a decision as a freshman … Notched first-career strikeout in first-career appearance against Savannah State (2/27) … Equaled longest outing of the year, going 2.0 innings and recording two strikeouts against Georgia Southern (3/18) … Best outing of the season came against Auburn, holding the Tigers scoreless off of one hit while striking out a pair in 1.0 inning (5/13). 

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Gordon Lee High School … Elected to Georgia All-Star team three seasons … Named Chattanooga Times first team best of preps … Received North Georgia Dream baseball team honors three seasons … Also earned three letters in football … Selected North Georgia Dream football team two seasons … Two time Covenant Bank football player of the week … Team captain.
