Since 2008, the EAT A PEACH Collegiate has become a regional favorite in women’s collegiate golf. Our primary goal is to develop a premiere women’s college golf event by combining a great golf facility with outstanding talent and a big touch of southern hospitality. Mercer University Women’s Golf and D1 Golf, LLC have partnered together for four successful years and has laid the framework for the future.
In 2012, the fifth annual EAT A PEACH Collegiate women's golf tournament will be held September 22 – 24 in Jekyll Island, GA. The tournament is a 54-hole 3-day event and includes a practice round. Each team may compete with five players and two coaches.

Jekyll Island has been a golf destination since 1898, when members of the Jekyll Island Club constructed the first course on the island near what is now the present-day airport. Since then, golf course designers such as Donald Ross, Walter Travis, Dick Wilson and Joe Lee have used the natural landscape to create classic course designs highlighted by spectacular scenery.
Many people theorize that the EAT A PEACH name comes from the delicious peaches that Georgia produces each year. That is true, but it is not the only reason. Macon, GA is home of Mercer University and the world-famous Allman Brothers Band. One of their most acclaimed albums is named EAT A PEACH. This event celebrates the band and our delectable fruit.
We hope to see you there.
