Fears Garners A-Sun Player of the Week
MACON, Ga. – Mercer sophomore Lacey Fears was named the Atlantic Sun Women’s Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career Wednesday. The Warner Robins, Ga. native earned the distinction after collecting individual medalist honors at the JU Classic last week on Tuesday.

Women’s Golf in Final Week of Qualifying
MACON, Ga. – Since returning from winter break on January 10, the Mercer women’s golf team has been working hard in anticipation of the spring season opener at the Jacksonville Classic. Four round of qualifying have been completed and two remain to determine which players travel to the tournament at the Hidden Hills Golf Club on February 5-7.

Mercer Golfers Shine at Women's Southern Amateur Championship
ATLANTA, Ga. - Two of the top players on the Mercer women’s golf team continue to shine at the 96th playing of the Women's Southern Amateur Championship. Kimmy Graff qualified for the Championship Flight with a 2-over par 72, placing third among all contestants. Mary Alice Murphy made it into the Championship Flight after carding a 5-over par 75. Both players moved into the top field of 32 contestants.

Mercer Golfers on a Mission in Cambodia
MACON, Ga. – Both the men’s and women’s golf teams will be represented in the 2011 “Mercer on a Mission” campaign scheduled for May 25-June 16. St. Simons Isle, Ga. – Sophomore Aurelie Wiriath captured the individual title at the Coastal Georgia Invitational, defeating Shorter’s Greta Lange in a playoff hole after leading Mercer to a first-place finish at the event. As a team, Mercer finished the event with a two-round total of 646, edging Shorter by a single stroke.

Gardner Announces Coaching Staff Additions
