National Golf Coaches Association Recognizes 2009-10 All-American Scholar Recipients

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III were announced Monday, and Mercer University graduate Alex Quagliata was recognized for the prestigious honor.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Quagliata graduated from Mercer with Magna Cum Laude honors in June 2010. She was a mainstay on the women’s golf team during her four years at Mercer. Her most acclaimed finish was a top 20 spot at the prestigious EAT A PEACH Collegiate where she captured low medalist honors for the Bears. This event hosted some of the top golf teams in America.

Quagliata became Mrs. Alex Camp on June 19, 2010 when she married John Camp. He is a successful businessman in Macon, Ga. where the couple resides.
