Bears Look To Snap Streak At South Alabama
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team looks to break a season-long losing streak as it steps away from Atlantic Sun action to play a pair of non-conference games against South Alabama on Wednesday evening.
The Bears have dropped nine straight which tops a six-game losing streak the team suffered to begin the season. The latest swoon comes on the heels of the Bears starting out 5-2 in conference. Mercer now stands in unfamiliar position as one of four teams left out of the conference tournament. It is just the second time in the last six years MU will not play in the A-Sun Tournament.
The Bears will play the mid-week series against South Alabama to prep for its final doubleheader of the season, this Saturday at in-state rival Kennesaw St.

Lipscomb moved to 30-14 (8-6 A-Sun) with the wins while Mercer was eliminated from contention for an Atlantic Sun tournament berth and fell to 24-24 (5-11 A-Sun).
