Crosby reunited with his former
college coach Jason Childs in 2010-11 to help Mercer University
field its inaugural men's lacrosse team.
Crosby spent the 2010
season as the head lacrosse coach at Mauldin High School in
Greenville, S.C. He led the Mavericks to the 2010 playoffs.
Crosby is a 2008 graduate
of Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., where he joined Childs in
founding the Blue Hose’s men’s lacrosse program in
2006. Crosby had 24 career starts at PC as a midfielder and
was a team captain, while also setting single game records for
face-offs won and face-off percentage. As a senior, he had had the
honor of being the recipient - and namesake for -
Presbyterian’s inaugural "Charles Walton Crosby Unsung Hero
Award” in recognition for unselfish play and contributions to
the team’s success.
For the Bears, Crosby will work
within every aspect of the day-to-day operations of Mercer’s
lacrosse program. On the field, he will also work closely with the
offense, both individually and collectively, while heading up the
personal development efforts.
Crosby is married to the former Shannon Strodel (also PC Graduate
and lacrosse player). The couple resides in Macon.
