Tredway Steps Down as Mercer Men’s Golf Coach

MACON, Ga. – Mercer University Athletics has announced that men’s golf coach Andrew Tredway has resigned his position to pursue another coaching opportunity.

“We certainly wish Andrew all the best and appreciate his four years guiding our men’s golf program,” said MU Director of Athletics Jim Cole.  “He has left our program in a better place by his hard work and dedication to Mercer golf and that’s all you can ever ask of a coach. I know he will have many more successes and our thoughts, and thanks, go out to him as he moves on to the next phase of his coaching career.”

“I want to thank Mercer for the opportunity to be their coach for the past four years,” said Tredway.  “The community support has been so amazing to me and my family and I'm so grateful for the relationships that we have built here.  More than anything I want to thank the exceptional young men who I have been able to travel the nation with doing something we all love."

Cole said a national search for Tredway’s replacement will get underway immediately. “We are committed to our student-athletes and to ensuring that Mercer Golf has the best possible leadership,” said Cole.
