MACON, Ga. – The Mercer University football program and head coach Bobby Lamb have announced start times for the first four games of the 2013 schedule, featuring a trio of primetime kickoffs, including the season-opener against Reinhardt University.
The Bears return to the field for the first time in 70 years Aug. 31, welcoming in-state opponent Reinhardt University to town for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Mercer University Stadium.
Following a bye week, Mercer will play three games in as many Saturdays at home, hosting Warner Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. and Berry College Sept. 21 at 6 p.m.
The Bears will cap their four-game homestand with their inaugural Pioneer Football League (PFL) contest, hosting Drake University for a 1 p.m. kickoff Sept 28.
The PFL enters its 21st season in 2013, with the regular season title race leading to the league's first automatic qualification into the NCAA FCS Championship which begins Nov. 30.
