2009 (Freshman): Appeared in 10 games as a
middle reliever out of the Mercer bullpen … finished with a
0-0 record and a 7.71 ERA … allowed 14 earned hits on 18
hits allowed … struck out 19 batters in just 16.1 innings of
work … held opposing hitters to a .273 batting average
… was especially stingy with two outs, holding hitters to a
microscopic .111 average (2-18) … started the season with a
scoreless inning of relief against in-state rival Georgia State
(Feb. 25) … pitched 2.0 innings of scoreless relief allowing
just one hit while striking out one against The Citadel (March 11)
… tossed a season-high 3.1 innings of relief allowing just
one run on three hits against USC Upstate (March 21) … put
together another solid relief outing, going 3.0 innings against
Savannah State (March 24), striking out a season-high five
batters.
