SPARTANGURG, S.C. -- Mercer's women's golf team struggled on the final day of the Boscobel Intercollegiate and finished fifth in the seven team field.
The Bears entered the final round in fourth, but shot a 336 on Sunday, falling one spot. Wofford won the tournament and was followed by Gardner-Webb, Appalachian State and Presbyterian College.
Individually, senior Monica Kelsey finished in a tie for eighth place. Rounding out Mercer's top five was Aurelie Wiriath, Carolyn Levy, Alicia Poole and Leslie Choucard.
Playing as individuals, Mercer's Kayli Wicker, Kimberly Graff and Alex Quagliata, finished in the top 20. Wicker carded a 158 and tied for 10th while Graff tied for 16th and Quagliata tied for 19th.
Mercer next heads to the Hatter Fall Classic in DeLand, Fla. for the two round event on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3.
