Men’s Golf Concludes Action in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Mercer freshman Matt Kocolowski recorded a final round 71 to help the men’s golf team finish in 15th place at the Aldila Scenic City Invitational on Tuesday. The Bears combined to shoot a final round 316, jumping up one spot after finishing day one in 16th place.

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men’s golf freshman class has been ranked 11th in the nation according to the Golfstat Top 25 Freshman Class Impact Rankings. William Meason, Matt Kocolowski, and Thomas Holmes highlight Mercer’s freshman class that has combined for an average score of 75.87 in the team’s first three tournaments.

Former Mercer Golf Standout Places Third at St. Augustine Amateur

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Former Mercer men’s golf standout Bill Jones III recently placed third in the St. Augustine Amateur Championship, held Oct. 16-18 at the St. Johns Golf Club. Jones, representing his home town of Covington, Ga., carded a 214 (+4) over three rounds to take third in the 74-player field.
